Were you in Southern California in the early 1980s? Then you may remember the famous Naugles chain of Mexican restaurants. In 1987 Del Taco absorbed the Naugles chain but apparently there are still thousands of Naugles lovers out there as evidenced by their recent reopening.
Opening demand for the food was so high that owners were forced to close the restaurant down after only four days. They have since reassessed how they are going to deal with the rush. For now they will only be open on weekends from 10 AM to 5 PM. The current location was only a test kitchen, not a permanent site. Soon however, there will be a permanent Naugles location that will be serving hot burritos 24/7.
