FMP offers test strips designed for testing chlorine and ammonia santizers so you can take the guess work out of adding chemicals to your dishwashing sink. Many of our test strips from FMP are made of Litmus, which is a type of specially treated paper. One of the oldest ways of testing chemicals, litmus tests pH levels simply by dipping the strip of paper into your chlorine or ammonia sanitizer solution and compare the color that appears on the litmus paper with the colors on the side of the vial in order to determine the acidity levels. The strips ensure accuracy, so you can trust you are mixing the perfect amount of chemicals into the water of your santizing sink.
Not only are these strips used for commercial foodservice establishments, but they are also used in tanning salons for tanning bed cleaning solutions, recreational facilities, nursing homes, and more. Any commercial enterprise that mixes their own cleaning solution will always want to keep test strips on hand. Ensure your dishes are always clean and disinfected, so you are up to health codes and standards. Make sure you store your test strips in a dry area, as humidity may expose the strips to water, and they will give inaccurate results.
